About the Byron Ferguson Foundation
An Alabama native, Byron Ferguson was a world-famous exhibition archer and was inducted into the Archery Hall of Fame in 2024. Byron performed across the world with documented feats of archery that inspired millions of people. He was also an avid outdoorsman and hunter with traditional archery equipment in the fashion of the famous Fred Bear and Byron Ferguson’s fellow Alabamian, Howard Hill. Byron Ferguson passed away at his home in Hartselle, Alabama in October 2025.
The Byron Ferguson Foundation was founded to advance the appreciation and understanding of traditional values associated with outdoor life, knowledge of the natural environment, and the rewards from interaction with nature. The foundation utilizes the common love of traditional archery to bring together like-minded individuals from across the world for the purpose of advancing traditional values, promoting education, and benefiting charity.
